Last week I was invited to go down and attend the press launching for the Surrey Quays Hollywood Bowling Centre. As a little girl, I used to come her quite often as it's not too far from where I live. And recently, they have spent £300,000 refurbishing the area, completely transforming the place.
There's a new VIP area, along with a milkshake bar, which I absolutely loved. They come in cute little milk bottles and taste so delicious, I think I was in heaven.
When we think of bowling, we usually think of a lousy old place, having to wear shoes that a million other people have put their sweaty feet in, but it's changed. Unless you're wearing something really inappropriate, heels, open toe shoes etc, you can stick to your own one pair of feet only shoes.
I had a really good time last week, the staff were so friendly and helpful and it didn't hurt that I won...I never win at bowling, I'm so terrible at anything that involves activity, so I was pretty chuffed to win!
With a bar (and alcohol) bowling is set to have a come back! Why not visit them to see for yourself!
