Invisalign- What Is It?

Tuesday 27 May 2014

After a long needed break after the 100 days challenge I am back with a new project.

This time I will be recording my journey of Invisialign- the invisible braces.

A few years ago when my wisdom teeth started coming out they were growing at wrong angles and caused me the uttermost painful few months and resulted in moving the rest of my teeth and making them look over crowded.

After discussions with my dentists, they sent me to get my lower wisdom teeth removed at St Thomas hospital, They put me under local anaesthetic and apparently I cried and didn't stop moving the whole time and had a very difficult time waking up.

Never the less I am now two teeth less and left with an overcrowded bottom set of teeth, something that has made me quite cautious for a while.

I went back to my dentist and we suggested getting fixed braces and the removal of teeth, this scared me and I went on my way to think about my options.

After two years of umming and ahhing about what to do I was overwhelmed with joy when my orthodontist suggested a process called Invisalign.

A secret removable brace.

After intensive research I decided this was the way forward for me and have now started my Invisalign journey.

These removable braces remind me of gum shields. They are great for people like me, who are no longer teenagers and want to improve their smile, without the obvious train tracks and pain normal braces provided.

The advantages-                         The disadvantages-

Invisible                                     Have to brush your teeth as many times as you eat
Relatively pain free                    Not allowed to drink anything but water with them in
Easy to remove and clean
Whiter teeth

Watch my video for more details.

If you are interested in Invisialign make sure you find an orthodontist who makes you feel at ease and comfortable with the procedure.

If you live in the South East London area, i suggest you give my dental practice a go. Their websites are:

I will be posting every six weeks after I visit my dentist and will keep you all updated with my progress.

Please feel free to ask any questions regarding invisalign.

Day 100- 100 Days In Clothes

Tuesday 13 May 2014

So thats it, my 100 day challenge is over.

It's been a great journey and I'm glad that I stuck to it.

Although some days I felt like just wearing my pjs and going out I spent the last 100 days making a conscious effort to dress appropriately and stylish.

I hope you have all enjoyed this journey with me, but fear not, that doesn't mean I will be closing my blog down or anything, just means it's time for new exciting challenges. I would like to say a massive thank you for all your support and comments, I read every single one of them and they all make my day.

I hope my 100 day challenge has inspired you to try something new, has shown you that theres a lot of different ways to re wear clothes in your wardrobe whether it be casually or dressed up.

I bought my 100 day outfit a while back and thought it was something beautiful and would look good no matter what the weather, and this morning when I left the sun was shining, and now as I write this post the r`in is pouring down.

These jeans look great with a pair of loafers, but they shine with a pair of great heels.

Day 99- 100 Days In Clothes

Monday 12 May 2014

It's taken me 99 days but I've finally done it, i have managed to dress myself head to toe in Zara clothing.

I can now say, Zara I am your biggest fan, I am addicted to your store and I may need some help.

As soon as I saw these trousers I knew that I had to have them, they're like a silk, chiffon material and they just drape so beautifully.

The weather was quite nice today, however I had brought my blue blazer/jacket (also from Zara) to pop on top in case I got too cold.

What I Wore Today:

All items are from Zara

Day 98- 100 Days In Clothes

Sunday 11 May 2014

This outfit consists of my favourite boots ever.

I've had these Stuart Weitzman boots for about two and a half years and I love them so much I bought them in leather as well.

They have kept their shape, colour and the style is very versatile with leggings, skinny jeans, dresses and skirts too.

I've teamed them with a faux leather skirt and a navy jersey to dress the outfit down.

I really like the end result, seeing as it's not quite summer yet, I reckon you can still get away with winter boots.

What I Wore Today:

Skirt- Primark
Necklace- Primark
Top- Topshop
Bag- Chanel
Boots- Stuart Weitzman
Belt- Alexander McQueen

Day 97- 100 Days In Clothes

Saturday 10 May 2014

I've taken a few items that I usually wear casually and I decided to dress it all up instead.

So by adding a pair of heels and a sparkly headband completely transforms the outfit.

I've also added my signature pink lips to the outfit.

Bag- Brandy Melville
Headband- Primark

Day 96- 100 Days In Clothes

Friday 9 May 2014

Tonight I'm wearing my special graduation and birthday presents, my Jimmy Choo heels and Chanel bag.

Usually when I get ready I work my way up from my shoes and thats how I get an outfit together, and thats exactly what I done tonight.

I decided that I would keep the outfit quite structured and with the use of camel and beigey tones in my accessories it adds some colour and doesn't make it quite so dull.

Trousers- Zara
Bag- Chanel
Shoes- Jimmy Choo

Day 95- 100 Days In Clothes

Thursday 8 May 2014

I'm off out for dinner with my lovely girl friends and are having an overdue catch up.

I decided to keep the outfit simple with a focus on my shoes.

I've had these heels for years and only pull them out for special occasions.

They have a tortoise patent finish on them and match anything I'm wearing.

What I Wore Today:

Shirt- Zara
Necklace- Primark
Jeans- Topshop
Bag- Zara
Shoes- Stuart Weitzman

Day 94- 100 Days In Clothes

Wednesday 7 May 2014

Today I went out to a car show so I wasn't quite sure what to wear, I thought a nice middie dress and cute jumper would be a great outfit, teamed with ankle boots. It's great to be comfortable and easy to wear as I had to do quite a bit of walking around.

I have kept my make up same as always and have straightened my hair, I am loving the length at the moment.

What I Wore Today:

Dress- Miss Selfridge
Jumper- Topshop
Boots- Russell&Bromley
Bag- Michael Kors

Day 93- 100 Days In Clothes

Monday 5 May 2014

One of my lovely friends from work Mila Sam is a terrific photographer and we decided to go central and take a few cool photos showcasing both of our talents (her photography and my style and fashion).

I love this floral top juxtaposed with the denim and the white canvas of my trainers.

Thankfully the weather was lovely and Mila is a brilliant photographer and has made me look absolutely lush, so thank you my dear. Make sure to take a look at her photography here. I will be posting a few more outfits from these shoots soon.

Day 92- 100 Days In Clothes

The sun is shinning and I am going to make the most of this bank holiday weekend (even if I am working) and spend it wearing a cute summery dress.

I lot the colours on this dress an the print makes it look really modern. I've got no jewellery on and have kept the focus of my make up on just having flawless, dewy skin.

Dress- Asos
Shoes- Topshop
Bag- Brandy Meliville

Day 91- 100 Days In Clothes

Sunday 4 May 2014

Today I'm a cross between the 80s and 90s.

I love the way I can change my style everyday. One day I'm elegant and girly the next I'm sophisticated and then there's the other side of me that loves the 90s high waisted jeans, cropped tops and scrunchies.

Day 89- 100 Days In Clothes

Friday 2 May 2014

I'm absolutely in love with this outfit head to toe (almost) in Zara.

Whenever the weather is gloomy and a bit crappy, I always find it in myself to dress up and wear something bright and colourful.

This outfit is so classic and bang on trend with the pastel colours and can easily be worn to work, on a date or a night out with the girls.

Day 88- 100 Days In Clothes

I've been looking for the perfect white blouse for ages and I finally found one from Zara (of course)

I've kept the outfit simple and is easy to take from day to night.

As I have a lot if errands to run today I'm wearing my lovely glasses as it just allows me to apply less make up.

What I Wore Today:
