TRYING LVL LASHES FOR THE FIRST TIME | PERMING MY LASHES

Wednesday, 26 September 2018

When it comes to my eyelashes, I've never really given it much thought. I mean, I'd put mascara on and when I remember I use an eyelash curler. But the reality was, they weren't a focal point of my makeup routine.

Around a year and a half ago I tried eyelash extensions and I absolutely hated it. The length, the feeling, the fact I couldn't wash my eyes properly, so a week later with a lot of coconut oil I ended up removing them.

The one thing I liked about the eyelash extensions were the fact that my eyes looked wider and more awake, so when I heard about LVL lashes I knew it was something I needed to look into.

LVL lashes stand for length, volume, lift. And that's exactly what the treatment does. I recently headed to Marshall Street Spa in near Carnaby Street for my first ever LVL treatment. A week later and I can't stop raving about it to everyone.

The treatment itself takes around 40 minutes and the results are instant. Think of LVL as a perm for your eyelashes, for the next 24 hours you are not allowed to get they eyelashes wet (like a regular hair perm). But after that, you can go about your normal life.

When you get LVL done to your lashes they also tint the lashes themselves so they appear thicker and fuller. If you're someone who loves going for that no make up look, this is the perfect treatment for you. Your lashes look really long and curled while still appearing super natural.

I was told there were two different types of LVL styles I could choose from, natural or dramatic. I went for the dramatic, but in all honesty, I don't think my lashes look dramatic. It simply means the material they curled my lashes on was smaller, meaning the lift of the lash would be more dramatic. And I am so glad I went for this one. I have never received as many compliments about my lashes.

After 24hours I decided to put on mascara to see what my lashes look like with them on and I was so impressed. It was as if I had fake lashes on without the discomfort. Lashes looked long, wispy and curled. And even better, after I removed the mascara, my lashes still looked as good as when I had just had them done.

In the photos above I have shown the before and after images with and without mascara on. As you can see the results are phenomenal. This treatment is currently £35 for an introductory price at Marshall Street Spa

Get Your Teeth Whitened At The Harley Laser Specialist

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

This week I finally got around to getting my teeth whitened. It's something that I have wanted to do for a very long time, but I've always been worried. I've read countless reviews about sensitive teeth so it's always put me off. But one thing I will start is saying everyone's experience is different.

So I headed up to The Harley Laser Specialists last week for my first ever teeth whitening. After filling in all the forms an checking that I was eligible for it I headed to brush my teeth and go into the room to discuss what my treatment would entail and the aftercare.

I was recommended not to eat and drink anything but white foods. White bread, rice, boiled chicken breast, not even to let my toast to get brown for 24 hours. I'm the sort of person who doesn't sit will with being told not to eat anything, I wanted to come home and eat all the greens and food with sauces! I didn't as I knew it would ruin my results (but I really wanted to).

So the treatment itself is pretty simple. We measured up to see what shade my teeth were and then vaseline was added to my lips to stop them from getting dry during the treatment. The apparatus which opens your mouth was added (I'm not quite sure what the name is) and then the liquid gel was injected onto my teeth. This was then spread carefully with a cotton bud so that the gel did not get onto my gums. It is worth mentioning that it was only placed up to my canine teeth as my molars are actually quite white.

The laser was then put on for half an hour. Once the half an hour was completed I rinsed out the gel. The process was then repeated one more time.

Once I had an hours worth of treatment we compared the colour of my teeth to the initial shade. I had gone 9 shades lighter. It is worth noting that the results vary from person to person. The fact that I had never whitened my teeth before meant that I had a really great result. I would love to head back to have another treatment in a few months to achieve the colour I desire.

For all my lovely readers, they are offering a 50% discount on an hours teeth whitening session. With the code 'TERAL99' it's simply £99. So try it out for yourself.

There clinic also offer various different treatments. As I adore you guys there is a code to give you 60% off of full body 3D laser hair removal for 1 year at £1,499 (usually over £3,500) Use the code 'TERAL32'. Alternatively, there is a 1 x session for under arm 3D laser hair removal completely free of charge so you can trial and see what the results are like, using the code 'TERALFUA'.

Have you ever had your teeth whitened? Would you like to try this service out?

Getting The Perfect Tan With Bondi Sands

Monday, 6 March 2017

Over the last few months I have been loving fake tanning. For years I was never into it. I had seen far too many orange bodies and fake tan disasters that I never saw the point of it. That was all until I was introduced to Bondi Sands. Gone are the days of dodgy tans, there's no streaky tans in sight for me.

Bondi Sands is an Australian brand but you can find it here in England (YAY) in Boots and Superdrugs. They have a full range of different type of self tanner's from everyday gradual to mouse's and even a liquid gold.

I've tried them all. And my favourite has got to be their new range the ultra dark. I'm the sort of person who doesn't want a light glow. I want to be bronzed. I ran fairly easily and want my fake tan to look like I have just come back from holiday and that's exactly what I get from the ultra dark range.

A few weeks back posted a picture on my Instagram about my love for the Bondi Sands Ultra Dark and the next day met up with a few friends who were stunned by the results of my tan.

The first time I tried the Liquid Gold Oil  tan was a bit strange for me. As I was quite new to tanning, all products I had used before would leave an immediate colour so that's what I was looking for. But when I sprayed they liquid gold I couldn't see any results and kept reapplying. Suddenly, a few hours later I noticed that I had this absolutely stunning dark bronzed colour. And to my surprise NO STREAKS!

I now know that I don't need to apply as many layers of the Liquid Gold to get my desired look.

If you're not running out to buy it yet I'm sure this next part will. I absolutely LOVE the scent of all the Bondi Sands products. They don't have any biscuit smell or any chemical smell. They simply smell of our coconuts! So fresh and tropical.

Another thing I have noticed is that I tanned about 3 weeks before I started writing this blog post. Although the tan has faded on my arms, my legs are still going strong with no patches in sight. All in all this product deserves 5*s as I just can not fault it.

Do you enjoy using fake tan? Have you found a product you love as much as I love this one?

Gold Collagen Face Mask X Jivesse

Friday, 13 January 2017

When it comes to our skin, Im all about hydration and face masks. Throughout my early teen years, I didn't have the best skin, and I'm fortunate that now that I have grown up, my skin is a lot better. Yes it's dehydrated and a little oily now and then, but these are problems that I can deal with on a day to day basis. The acne however, was not my favourite part of my youth. I can actually say that now as I'm 25 this year... sobs into pillow.

I love pampering myself and I feel like the best and most important thing to pamper is my skin. Being a blogger who covers not only fashion, but beauty, I get to try a lot of different facials and face masks. I mean what beauty lover wouldn't love that? However there's something nice about being able to hydrate your skin in the comfort of your own home without having to treck all the way to a salon and back.

At the end of last year I was introduced to the beauty brand Jivesse, All of the Jivesse products are formed to deliver a multitude of benefits and contain the most natural and effective ingredients which help keep the skin looking and feeling younger for longer.

The last year or so has seen sheet masks grow from strength to strength. They are so easy to use, so easy that I regularly take them on holiday with me and use on long haul flights as I find my skin gets really dry while flying.

Jivesse are bringing out their new sheet mask, the Collagen & Gold Youth Defining Mask. The addition of gold in the mask acts as an antibacterial, and helps to regenerate skin cells and speed up the renewal process. After just one use you can feel that your skin feels a lot softer and leaves you looking radiant.

It is recommended to use the mask 2-3 times a week for 10-15 minutes a time. Alongside the mask, i have been using the Marine Collagen Cream which is quite a heavy cream. It leaves the skin feeling really soft. You can use the cream twice a day, but seeing as I find the cream very rich in texture, I tend to only use it at night time.

Have you ever used a sheet mask before? How do you feel about using gold on your face?

Updated Skincare Routine Ft Nu Skin

Friday, 11 November 2016

Recently I have been using the Nuskin beauty products and I have noticed a positive change in my skin. When winter kicks in, my skin seems to fluctuate between oily and dry. I have dry patches around my nose (and I don't even have the flu) and my T-Zone remains quite oily.

Currently, I am really enjoying using face masks. They make me feel a little more glamourous, and I have really noticed a difference in my skin. I've been using the Epoch Glacial Marine Mud Mask for a few months now and I can see that my skin is a lot smoother, softer and has an overall more healthy looking glow.

My skin tends to remember products that I use, so I tend to switch the products I use on a monthly basis, but seeing as masks, are something I don't do quite often, I've only been using this one.

The other products that I have been using are the NaPCA Moisture Mist which can be used as a face, hair and body mist. Generally, I use this on my face only, but for travelling this is perfect as it's an all rounder product.

I've also been enjoying using the Moisture Restore Day SPF15 as I think it's so important to protect your skin from sun damage all year round. Finding a daily cream with SPF makes it that much easier.

Finally, to take my make up off (and again in the morning) the Pure Cleansing Gel is perfect. It's so light and hydrating.

Have you been changing your beauty routine lately? Let me know if you're enjoy using face masks.

October Must Haves From John Lewis

Sunday, 23 October 2016

With autumn in full swing, I tend to change my beauty routine. As the weather gets colder, my skin get drier and my lips start chapping, so although I have oily combination skin, I tend to try to go for a lot more hydrating products.

For an instant facial the Kiehl's Energising Radiance mask is the perfect autumn product to take you through to the winter. The crushed cranberry seeds gently exfoliate your skin leaving it smoother, brighter, illuminated. As someone who constantly dull tired looking skin, this is the perfect product to give me a winters glow.

As someone who suffers with large pores, I have tried all the products on the market in order to reduce these pores, and nothing has come as close has the Clarins Double Serum. It leaves skin looking firmer, and if you suffer from wrinkles it helps them appear smoother. This is a product that I can actually share with my mum and we will both have a different use for it. In the colder months as mentioned above, skin can look dull so I like to use this serum over night so I wake up with a glow.

For the day time I like to use the Elemis Super Food Facial oil as it is really light and leaves my complexion feeling healthy and radiant. I tend to have quite an oily T-Zone, and a lot of people are scared to add oil, but that's exactly what you need to do. Your skin is lacking vital oils so it produces an oily complexion to compensate.

In the summer I love wearing sweet scents, but as soon as Autumn drops I go for something a lot more woody and long lasting. Replica are a French brand which is keen for your perfume to detect memories. And that's exactly what a scent does. Whenever I smell fresh bread it reminds me of my grandmother baking. So I think it's a great concept to have a perfume that reminds you of moments by the fireplace. This perfume takes me back to my winters spent in North Cyprus lighting our fireplace (as there was no central heating).

I have been a huge fan of Molton Brown shower gels for as long as I can remember. They're new fragrance is perfect for anyone who loves their bathroom to smell like spices and autumn. That's exactly what it smells like. Cinnamon and spices, while also having specs of gold leaf. And who doesn't like to shower in gold?

Have a look at the autumn edit here and let me know what you decide to buy. Do you tend to change your beauty regime ever season, or do you know what works for you and you constantly use it?
