Winter Breaks With Travelodge

Wednesday, 13 December 2017

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll notice that I enjoy staying at a range of different hotels. London being the city I live in and my favourite city ( I am biased I know) I love showing you all the amazing gems and great offers hotels have on offer. This weekend I got to stay at the new Super Room at the Travelodge in Farringdon.

This particular hotel had a very relaxed, young and modern feel to it; something that I personally really appreciate. I love the fact that I can book a night at any Travelodge and know that I’ll be getting a good night’s sleep regardless. And what’s even better is that they are currently offering 5% off exclusively on the Daily Mail discount code page for their London hotels.

Everything within the room is completely thought out. Spending the weekend away couldn’t be easier, your room comes fully equip with lots of charging space, (which for me is one my main concerns) a hair dryer because I always seem to forget one, and a King’s Size bed so me and my boyfriend don’t argue about who’s on who’s side of the bed!

After a quick and easy check in, we headed up to our room to scout for somewhere to eat. This particular location (Farringdon) is central and so easy to get to and from which was ideal. It’s perfect for those looking to come to town for a break, or those here on business.

The Super Room comes with a few extra bits to make your stay even more comfortable. My night time hot chocolate was an added bonus I didn’t know I wanted until I took y first sip.

Their unlimited breakfast for £8.25 is a great option as you can eat as much as you like and there is a variety of food from hot and cold choices as well as a Lavazza coffee machine.

Whatever your reason, I highly recommend staying in the Travelodge Super Room. You can book here.

A Night To Remember With Le Suite West

Monday, 11 December 2017

Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to get to spend time in some amazing hotels and do some really cool experiences. This is something that I am forever grateful and always gives me a little pinch me moment before I head out from home.

Last week myself and a group of bloggers headed into London with Social Network Solutions (check out my last stay with them here) whereby we had a great time getting to know each other and experience some cool things we never would have before.

We started the day off with an escape room at Lock'd. This is something I never would have thought of doing, heck, I didn't even realise it was a thing in London until then. I'd seen escape rooms before, but only on the Big Bang theory. So when I heard that this would be one of our activities, I was a little sceptical. But I'm kind of glad I was, as it ended up being a lot of fun and gave me such an adrenaline rush. We completed the room with 3 minutes to spare, embarrassing, but at least we know what kind of things to look for the next time we go!

Next we headed off to Le Suite West where we were to have afternoon tea and spend the evening. Le Suite West have a delicious vegan afternoon tea. I much prefer savoury items so the sandwiches were my favourite. If you're a vegan, or just after something a little different, I highly recommend this menu.

Being a blogger means that we don't really get to relax and unwind, but each time I have worked with Social Network solution, they always provide the perfect balance of fun and work. It's so nice to take the time with others in the industry to just chat about life, boys and make up tips. Although the main restaurant was under construction, the staff were extremely accommodating providing dinner for us and some late night hot chocolate for us to really unwind.

We also were lucky enough to receive some lovely gifts. I was sent a few surprises from the lovely team at Apatchy London and Apache Rose London

I have also vlogged the whole thing so check it out below!

I would just like to thank everyone involved with this event for a wonderful time.

Styling Belt Bags And Over The Knee Boots

Wednesday, 6 December 2017

It's officially the month of Christmas. This means one thing and one thing only. It's time to dress cosy AF! For me, this includes lots of jumper dresses and cute little bags.

This seasons must have trendy piece has got to be the belt bag. I am literally so obsessed with them. As I stated in my Zara Haul, I actually love the Gucci one, but as it's such an expensive piece for a very trendy piece, I've been on the hunt for a dupe, and I think I've found the perfect one.

Belt bags are so versatile and easy to wear. They're hands free and look so good. I am just obsessed. This one is slightly on the larger size of belt bags, and even comes with a cross the body strap. I've actually got my eyes on another one from Zara which is a little smaller.

As soon as winter hits, my favourite thing to whip out is a pair of over the knee boots. I adore this old pair from River Island as the heel is not too high and is perfect for wearing all day long. They look great with a cute girly outfit, some jeans or a nice chunky jumper dress.

What's your favourite winter essential this year?

How To Wear Red This Season

Monday, 27 November 2017

This season one of my favourite trends has got to be red. I find it so Christmassy and so snuggly. Can a colour be snuggly?

This red jumper was something that I recently picked up from a Zara haul I put up on my youtube channel you can find it here. I bought this jumper in a medium as I wanted it to be really loose and comfortable. I have since gone back to Zara and picked up a small in the beige colour. I just love everything about this jumper.

I find that a lot of people struggle with wearing red. It's quite a daring colour and it's in your face, but I think it's all down to perception. If you style it with black or white I find that it can look extremely elegant and more fashion forward than in your face.

I decided to pair this jumper with a pair of black leather look jeans. As the jumper is quite chunky and oversized, it's best to balance it out with a tighter bottom half, otherwise you end up looking like a total marshmallow. For me, winter means jeans and a nice chunky jumper to keep me warm. It's my winter go to and a fail safe outfit.

The reality is, I'm 99% sure I wouldn't usually wear heeled boots for a walk in the park, but for some strange reason it works (ok it doesn't but for the sake of the pictures it does).

How would you style red this season?
