OOTD: I Know I'm Not The Only One

Thursday, 25 September 2014

Trousers Missguided | Top Topshop |  Blazer Primark | Shoes Russell &Bromley | Bag Michael Kors | Necklace Turkey

A year after graduation I still haven’t found my dream job, but as the title says I know I’m not the only one.

Recent figures show that unemployment statistics have risen, yet we are still to see the results of the majority getting into a job that they have studied.

There have been many blog posts about unemployment and the (depression) stress that comes along with it, but people are yet to give solutions.

Number one is GET YOURSELF A JOB. Anything to get the ball going. Something preferably paid, but we all know that the best jobs require slave labour. Making endless amounts of cups of tea, food runs in the rain and hours and hours in the ‘cupboard’ cleaning and sorting clothes to go back to Pr companies- Closer Magazine I’m looking at you. But reality shows there are bills to be paid and lives to live.

You might as well be doing something else whilst working on getting that dream job. The one thing I keep reminding myself is that I’m not the only one, and the day will come that I can finally say I’ve done it.

This brings me to my outfit of the day. My new job requires me to dress smart and presentable and I have been dying to show you guys an office look.

I'm so in love with these Missguided trousers, the shape is so flattering and the colour is perfect for A/W.

Lots of Love

Day 65- 100 Days In Clothes

Tuesday, 8 April 2014

I've literally had this dress for years, I wear it in the summer, and around this time of the year.

It looks great bare legged, but also for days like today when it's sunny but not too warm it still looks good with opaque tights.

I love the back detail on this dress, it gives the outfit such a girly finish.

I decided to curl my hair, then brush them out to make it look more natural.

By sweeping my hair to the side it allows the back details to be the main focus on this outfit.

What I Wore Today:

Dress- Zara
Bag- Zara
Necklace- Topshop
Boots-Russell&Bromley
Rings- Various

Day 61- 100 Days In Clothes

Friday, 4 April 2014

This outfit is so girly and spring like.

It's great for days like today when it's warm but not quite sunny.

What I love about spring summer is anything goes, you can wear things that have been in your wardrobe for years, or something you bought yesterday.

I've had this skirt for around two years and have worn it a handful of times.

I love the colour with a white tee.

I have decided to dress it up with some wedges but kept it casual with a cute vintage cardigan.

What I Wore Today:

Skirt- Topshop
Top- Brandy Melville
Cardigan- Vintage
Bracelt- Primark
Necklace- Topshop
Shoes- Vicini
Bag- Russell&Bromley

Day 60- 100 Days In Clothes

Thursday, 3 April 2014

I have had this blazer for about two years and I've only worn it once.

I thought it would look great with this smart outfit as it adds a nice clash of colour.

I decided to have matching pink lipstick as I love this colour on my lips ad kept everything else very minimal.

My Russell & Bromley heels are so comfortable for everyday and you can never go wrong with a pair of classic black suede heels.

What I wore today:

Top- Zara
Blazer- Zara
Trousers- Zara
Shoes- Russell & Bromley
Bag- Michael Kors

Day 57- 100 Days In Clothes

Sunday, 30 March 2014

So todays outfit of the day consists of the cutest little cropped top I've ever seen. It has a print of those good luck chinese cats where the hand swings front and back, so adorable. And I decided it would look good with some high waisted jeans. Also the other day I was out shopping with my friend and she mentioned she bought some jellies for £4 so I just had to go and get myself a pair (don't think I've ever bought shoes that cheap before) These remind me of a pink pair I had when I was seven I loved them so much I wanted to wear them every day.

What I wore today:

Top- H&M
Jeans- Levis
Jellies- Primark
Bag- Michael Kors

Day 56- 100 Days In Clothes

A mothers day special outfit. I always think on mothers day and valentines day you should always have a little pink in your outfit, and I feel I may have gone a little ott today, but the weather was nice and I finished work earlier than I anticipated so I was excited to spend the evening with the family. I decided to team the pink with grey and nude, both a neutral colour. These heels were one of the first pair of shop shoes I bought, and that was around four years ago, yet they are still stylish and soo comfortable. It's always a good idea to invest in some key pieces like shoes bags and coats, because you never know how long you will be able to wear them.

What I wore today:

Top- Red Herring Debenhams
Jeans- Topshop
Bag- Ted Baker
Shoes- Russell&Bromley

Day 55- 100 Days In Clothes

Saturday, 29 March 2014

I really enjoyed doing my previous day to night look so I thought this dress would be prefect for another one. I've gone from casual to an extremely heavy night look. A quick change of shoes into heels and a lot more heavy eye make up and you are set to go. I absolutely love the cut on this dress on the shoulders, it's so elegant and sophisticated, Zara, you have done me proud once again.

What I wore today:

Dress- Zara
Boots- Russell&Bromley
Bag- Michael Kors
Clutch- Ted Baker
Heels- Versace for H&M

Day 54- 100 Days In Clothes

Friday, 28 March 2014

The weather today was a little strange, one minute it was sunny the next it was windy, so this outfit was set to keep me comfortable whether the weather changed or not. A sleeveless blouse teamed with a jumper is always elegant.

What I wore today:
Necklace- Topshop
Blouse- Topshop
Jumper- Topshop
Jeans- Miss Selfridge
Boots- Russell&Bromley
Bag- Michael Kors

Day 53- 100 Days In Clothes

Thursday, 27 March 2014

This is definitely a 90s inspired look. I love the little scrunchie in my hair and I'm loving the messy hair look. Whats great about this outfit is how simple it is. I literally tired a section of my hair up, put on a top and some leather trousers and had an outfit already. What makes this outfit is the mix of the red lips and the red in the scrunchie.

What I wore today:

Top- Topshop
Trousers- H&M
Boots- Russell&Bromley
Bag- Michael Kors
Scrunchie- Primark

Day 50- 100 Days In Clothes

Monday, 24 March 2014

I can't believe I have made it to day 50. It's gone so quickly, but at the same time, it feels like I've been at this challenge for a while. I mean it's been two months and I've reached my half way mark. So I decided that today I would wear something extra special and whats more special than a LBD?

Dress- Versace for H&M
Shoes- Stuart Weitzman
Bag- Russell&Bromley

Day 49- 100 Days In Clothes

Sunday, 23 March 2014

A lovely day spent with family and friends in memorial for my dear grandparents. This casual outfit is great for this time of the year. A nice neutral colour adds a nice base where you can chuck on any kind of cardigan if it gets too cold. I'm also loving how long my hair looks today. I decided to pin my hair back and keep my make up really minimal.

What I wore today:

Top- Topshop
Jeans- Topshop
Bag- Zara
Loafers- Russell &Bromley

Day 46- 100 Days In Clothes

Thursday, 20 March 2014

Todays outfit of the day is something I've wanted to do for a while. I've been working on a day to night outfit that still looks great either way. I feel like this is the perfect outfit. The shorts can be dressed down and dressed up.

This has got to be an all time favourite outfit, it's so simple and will keep me nice and cool  when the weather gets even hotter. Also i'm in love with my new WHITE brogues. If you said to me a year ago I would be the proud owner of a pair of white shoes I would have laughed at you but I'm completely in love with this pair.

I've taken the day look and switched it up by adding a pair of wedges and loosen my hair for a more evening look.

What I wore today:
Top- Zara
Shorts- Zara
Bag- Zara
Brouges- Russell&Bromley
Wedges- Vicini
Bracelet- Asos
