Everyday Make Up Routine

You've probably gathered from the title that, yes indeed. I am giving youtube another go. Back when I first started my blog, I decided to dabble with Youtube, but found it ver difficult balancing university, work, blogging and a social life so I gave up. This year, I've decided that I am not a quitter, and I will try my hardest to bring more videos to you. Firstly, it's a nice way for all my lovely readers to hear my voice (not that I have a super cute voice or anything) it's a good way for you all to feel more connected to me.

Alot of my Instagram followers have been asking me if I have ever done youtube or ever will, so I'm pleased to say that here's the first of the new and improved videos that I'll be making over the next few months.

Leave a comment down below on your thoughts and of course any ideas of what you'd like to see next!

My favourite Lipsticks

Sunday, 8 February 2015

After my successful favourite lipstick post when I first started my blog, I've been eagerly trying to get round to making another favourites post. This time I decided to make a video of it. So make sure you watch it and if there are any that you like I've got links all down below for you.

Here's a list of all the products, just incase you wanted to purchase any:

As you could probably tell, Mac has got to be my favourite lipstick brand, however if you are looking for something a little cheaper that does pretty much the same job, I'd definitely recommend Rimmel's lipsticks as the prices are generally always under £10. Mac is more of a mid to luxury buy. With prices starting from £15 its a little more expensive. I would however say that the quality of Rimmel and Mac are very similar in my opinion. Both have vibrant colours, great pigmentation and last a very long time.

I have to mention that I was lucky enough to find the sold out Velvet Teddy over Christmas and haven't looked back. I can see that it has sold out online again, however keep checking, it's bound to come back in stock again.

If you're looking for something that is extremely luxurious and is a lot more natural looking, I'd recommend Chanel lip products. Especially the Allure 91 as it is a natural pink colour. It suit's my skin and lip tone and gives just the right amount of shine.

What's your go to lipstick? Which brand do you prefer?

Naked 3 Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette- Review

Thursday, 2 January 2014

I was lucky enough to receive the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay for Christmas and I am in love with it. I've never seen such beautiful pigmented eyeshadows (okay thats a lie, I love my mac pallet and my sleek one two but this is just stunning.) The rose gold colours varying from light to dark give the perfect day to night, casual to glam, matte to sparkly looks I've ever seen. I just can't get enough of it.

I decided to give it a go on new years eve and I'm so glad i did. Its so easy to use, you can use any of the colours together and they all look so good together. My only concern is that the sparkly shades are a bit runny, I had glitter falling all across my face and had to wipe the excess off with a tissue. Other than that I have nothing to fault about this palette. I had been meaning to get the Naked 2 a while back, but I'm glad I didn't as this pallet fits my needs so much more.

I decided to go for a more causal look on new years day and was able to create a similar look without any shimmer. And to top it off it comes with a double ended brush, one to place colour and one to blend. I mean how much more perfect could it be.

Rating: I give this product 4.5/5.

If you guys are looking for one pallet to use for everything, you can't go wrong with the naked 3. It's great to put in your bag as it comes in a case with a mirror and brush and can brush up your make up on the go, or easily turn your make up from day to night.
Hope you all have a fab new year.

REVIEW: Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara

Thursday, 23 May 2013

In Mays Glossybox, I received a full sized Jelly Pong Pong mascara. You can't imagine my excitement when I opened my box. I've heard a lot about Jelly Pong Pong and in a previous Glossybox I have used and loved their lip tinted moisturiser. So I was excited to try this out. The box itself says that this mascara is "not for the faint hearted" and that it "makes eye lashes flutter, thicker & curvier." And it truly does.

At a first glance:
I was unsure about this product, the packaging doesn't look luxurious like high end products.  The box is cute in a pale blue with white and pink flowers, however the mascara itself looks quite childlike, the wand looks like it won't really work and i was hesitant to try it. It reminded me of something I would have liked around ten years ago. As the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover.

Because it really is a great product. My eyelashes feel so long, I can feel them on my brow bone which I absolutely love. You can reapply the product without it getting clumpy and it has a real good black colour. It also doesn't smudge  throughout the day.

All in all I am very pleased with this product despite the child like packaging. This product is £15 and can be bought from here.
