By Nadini Capsule Collection

Wednesday 15 April 2015

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Dena on her first shoot for her capsule collection for By Nadini. A British luxury designer specialising in hand made silk tops with material sourced from the middle east.

Where did it start

The collection started when Dena designed a top for her mother. Dena says 'I was inspired by my mother to pursue By Nadini. She helped ignite the creativity in me that she says I have always had since I was a little girl and used to dress myself.

Following this a friend set her a time scale of three months to make another piece. Not only did she make one piece, but she designed and created her entire capsule collection in this time.

Speaking to Dena you can see her passion lies in designing, and she wants to keep the brand luxurious.

Where to buy

Where may one buy such gorgeous pieces I hear you ask? Well according to Dena 'I want to go back to the original form of selling- by which making it a far more luxurious and having more of a personal approach. I will be hosting a By Nadini personal shopping service about 4 times a year.

'Individuals from the By Nadini team will be there at the events to customise orders (we can produce the capsule collection in any colour imaginable) and so customers can actually personalise the garments- they can try them on, and then choose a colour from our By Didi colour chart.

'I will also have to hand a colours specialist who can help women chose colours that suit their skin tone etc. The orders will be made then and there, payment taken and the items be hand delivered to your door within 14 working days.' Sounds amazing right!

Photo Shoot

Coming back to the photoshoot I was told to meet Dena and her team at The Milestone hotel in Kensington. Dena loves all things British and for the photo shoot she 'wanted something that screamed British. I personally love boutique hotels as they have that home from home feel you cannot get from a chain.'

Dena is constantly thinking of new ways to expand the brand and is currently in the process of designing a piece for her mother once again, this will be called Lynda and will be added to the collection.

If you can't wait to hear more about By Nadini she will be at Pure London, Allure range for the tradeshow in August. They are also being commissioned by high profile individuals to custom make haute couture pieces. So make sure you stay tuned to hear more about that later in the year.
